Art is carried by beauty (aesthetics) in form and style as well as content (ethics) as message, idea, consciousness and meaning.

Aesthetically and ethically modern art is also a reflection and/or reaction to her time with confrontation, amazement and encourages innovation.
The past decades of ‘ unlimited ‘ prosperity, growth, digitisation, aesthetics in the media and our ‘ personalised ‘ lifestyle, was limited to quick volatile imagery, with less space for ethics, reflection and consciousness for social sustainable well-being.

Now the globalized mass communication, mass consumption and the financial crisis limits on our freedoms and prosperity, there is because of researching the causes of this crisis, again more attention and function for ethical reflections and reflections of modern art.

Socially engaged art, seeks the dialogue and awareness to change to a new balance between wealth and well-being, where personal growth and well-being of the individual is just as important as changing visions of socially sustainable communities (communication, production and consumption).

The themes vary, therefore, from attention to the financial/economic crisis (entrepreneurship, consuming) to other relevant aspects such as discrimination, homophobia, emancipation, integration, exploitation and oppression, freedom of expression and personal development (communicating and living)
