Description
A central theme in her work are “human beings”. She sketch a lot in public places where people meet each other such as terraces, cafés, raiway-stations and the coffee-corner of the airport Schiphol. In her atelier she uses the sketch to make her oilpaintings. The reseach to the essentials of forms is the most important for her. She also uses more unusual materials as wire, cord and sand. The last years she makes more often -still lifes-. Some of these Artworks have the tittle “Game with lines”. For her it is not important if this game arise in an ArtWork with human figurs or in a -still life-. The searching for a line with tension which creates finally the form is the most fascinating to her. This game of lines against the taut graffic forms of characters is the beginning for her paintings.
